Leadership, everything rises and falls on it.
Dr. John Maxwell spoke on leadership. He reiterated what Pastor and I believe to be as great leadership, that it hangs on relationships. Everything rises and falls with leadership. The good, bad and the ugly. So to accomplish our goal in this life, we must posses good leadership qualities. I pray that Pastor and I are leading to the best of our ability with the blessing from God.
On Tuesday of this week, Maxwell's 73rd book came out, 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth. I can't wait to read it. Click the book to purchase your own copy and read it with me.
Here is a pic to my pretty program I made for the dinner.
It was awesome to see my stamp on the evening.
So what is your opinion of leadership? Do you think everything rises and falls on leadership? Or do you believe things just happen the way they were meant to happen? I would love to here your thoughts! So please share.

Here is an exciting word from John Maxwell:
On Tuesday, October 9, at 7:30pm across all US timezones, I'm sharing a webcast on The 15 Laws. In it, you’ll receive an overview of the content in the book, along with my additional insights. And best of all, it’s FREE. All you have to do is sign up by clicking the banner below. You’ll receive information about accessing the webcast from where you are. I hope you’ll join me.

Here is a pic of us from thursday evening:

| Pastor and I looking oh so sharp! You know, when you feel like you look pretty, nothing else really matters... Except when your husband tells you, you do. |

Branson Retreat NEO Style
This weekend I got to spend 2 days in beautiful Branson, Mo with "the most amazing man I have ever met" for the NEO Minister's and Mates Retreat. And it was awesome.
I couldn't have asked for a better weekend, except an endless amount of money to go and do everything Mark and I could... like go see all the shows and eat at every place our hearts desired!!!
However I did have a great dinner Saturday night ....
Thanks NEO for an awesome weekend getaway with my pastor hubby! And thank you BFCNaz for sending us. This was much needed!

Back to School... NOT
So this is how we decided to celebrate our local school district going back to school. See, we don't start till September 4th doing our Classical Conversations... and I'm not going to start any earlier than I have to!
Plus I need the time to plan. School will be here soon enough.

A group of Homeschool Mamas headed off to the local splashpad to enjoy play and fellowship. I really enjoyed our time there today and so did the girls. Can't you tell?

It is all over Pinterest. How to make your own Sonic Cherry Limeade. Well I love Cherry Limeade's and figured I needed to try this out to see. Here it goes.

I was making these for our youth group, that is why there are so many supplies!
Cut Your Limes:
Open You Cherries:
Mix Together:
1 Sprite1 Frozen Limeade Concentrate
The Juice of the 1 Cherry Jar
Garnish with Limes and cherries.
And you are done!
Wow that was so simply and totally Worth it. See:

Now it doesn't taste 100% like a Sonic Cherry Limeade to me, IT'S BETTER!
Maybe cause I made it. Who knows?
Try and see for yourself! I bet you will like your easy fast homemade version way better!

The Farmer's Market
I was so excited last Saturday morning when PastorMark asked if I wanted to go to The Farmer's Market. Well of course I do! I hopped out of bed with excitement... I shouldn't have even been in bed cause it was like 10:30am and if we were going to The Farmer's Market, then it was almost about to close. I hurried!
We made it there in time. No worries. And we still got some great veggies to bring home. We bought a lot that morning. Onions, Tomatoes, Squash & Zucchini, some honey, a freshly squeezed cherry limeade and a home baked cinnamon roll. It was a great day.
I sure do hope that PastorMark rolls over and askes me if I want to go again today.

Got Joy?
So after reading this article by iMom I feel totally defeated. The mommie guilt is on thick!
I want my children to enjoy me and for me to enjoy them. However, I haven't been doing such a good "job" of being a joyful mom lately. Look... here I go again, sucking the joy away from my life.
In order for my children to have the mother I want for them, I must choose to seek joy in the everyday! Ann Voskamp has beautifully put to words what I need more in my life through her book "One Thousand Gifts.".
Here are some ways from iMom to display joy:
1. Stop saying how tired you are.
I say that I am tried a lot. I mean a lot! And it is because I am tired, but I don't have to share that with them. This makes them feel like it is their fault why mommie is so tired. And they may very well be the case why I'm sluggish that day but I don't have to let them know that. Or it could be that I was laying in bed all night pins pretties on Pinterest?
2. Smile at your kids.
I totally need to do more of this! I simply need to look at my girls and I start to smile. They need to know I love being their mom and that they bring me joy.
3. Laugh!
My girls sure know how to make their mom laugh. They always bring laughter to bad situations. I need to look for the joy in the moment and laugh at myself more often.
4. THC
THC –tickling, hugging and cuddling our kids.
I don't want to be a mom that forgets to do these things because life is so busy. Let that tickle monster out on the loose! I need to hold them tight and cuddle them close because one day I won't be able to.
5. Don’t snap at your kids.
A kind word can change their whole day. I need to be more mindful how my tone is towards my children (& husband).
6. Don’t rush your kids.
Wow! How ca I make life more simple so we no longer have this problem? When I rush them it isn't fair, they don't understand time yet.
Download your own inforgraphic to help you remember to choose joy here:
I can't not accomplish these on my own but I know One that can help me.
I need to call on His name everyday and seek His will for my life and my children's every morning.
Look to the Father if you too need help finding more joy in your life.
